Kiwanis Foundation of Martinez Awards $10,000 Centennial Grant to Bullpup Music Booster
Bullpup Music Booster is proud to announce a $10k Centennial Grant from the Kiwanis Foundation of Martinez. These funds will power Project Instrument Rescue, repairing broken school-owned instruments. With this support, we will eliminate instrument waitlists, end instrument-sharing, and establish a sustainable repair system in partnership with Lamorinda Music. The MJHS music program has grown from 36 to 290 students in six years, and this grant ensures our instrument inventory keeps pace.
We are deeply grateful to the Kiwanis Foundation of Martinez for investing in our students and in the future of music education at MJHS. Thank you for making music accessible to all!

WHAT’S NEEDED:
Parent and student leaders to help with each session.
Instrument *For those who need to borrow, we will need to coordinate with the school to see what instruments can be borrowed after the inventory system is set up this summer.
A music stand if you own one or borrow one from the school.
Printed sheet music (provided by Mrs. Flanzbaum).
Student respect for each other, supervisors and the rented space.
